Abimelekh
Raja Gerar pada zaman Ishak, kemungkinan adalah anak dari raja sebelumnya (Kejadian 26:1-22). Ishak mencari perlindungan di wilayahnya selama bencana kelaparan, dan di sana dia bersikap mengenai Ribka, istrinya, serupa dengan yang dilakukan Abraham ayahnya terhadap Sara. Abimelekh menegurnya atas tipu daya itu, yang diketahuinya secara tidak sengaja. Ishak menetap untuk sementara waktu di sini dan menjadi makmur. Namun, Abimelekh memintanya meninggalkan wilayahnya, dan Ishak pun melakukannya. Abimelekh kemudian mengunjunginya saat dia berkemah di Bersyeba, dan menyatakan keinginan untuk memperbarui perjanjian yang telah dibuat di antara ayah-ayah mereka (Kejadian 26:26-31).
