Sekarang Tell Arad, sebuah kota Kanaan, sekitar 20 mil di sebelah selatan Hebron. Raja Arad “berperang melawan Israel dan menawan beberapa orang” ketika mereka sedang mundur dari perbatasan Edom (Bilangan 21:1; 33:40; Hakim-hakim 1:16). Kota ini akhirnya ditaklukkan oleh Yosua (Hakim-hakim 12:14).
