Benaya
Anak Yoyada, imam kepala (1 Tawarikh 27:5). Dia diangkat oleh Daud untuk mengepalai pasukan pengawalnya yang terdiri dari orang Kreti dan orang Pleti (2 Samuel 8:18; 1 Raja-raja 1:32; 1 Tawarikh 18:17). Berbagai kepahlawanannya dicatat dalam 2 Samuel 23:20, 21, 22; 1 Tawarikh 11:22. Dia tetap setia kepada Salomo (1 Raja-raja 1:8, 10, 26), yang kemudian mengangkatnya menjadi panglima tertinggi tentara (1 Raja-raja 2:25, 29, 30, 34, 35; 4:4).
