Kornelius
Seorang perwira pasukan Romawi yang kisahnya diceritakan dalam Kisah Para Rasul 10. Dia adalah “orang yang saleh”, dan seperti perwira di Kapernaum, percaya kepada Allah Israel. Tempat tinggalnya di Kaisarea mungkin membuatnya berhubungan dengan orang-orang Yahudi yang menyampaikan kepadanya pengharapan mereka mengenai Mesias; sehingga dia siap menyambut pesan yang dibawa Petrus. Dia menjadi buah sulung dari bangsa-bangsa bukan Yahudi bagi Kristus. Dia dan keluarganya dibaptis serta diterima ke dalam jemaat Kristen (Kisah Para Rasul 10:1, 44-48).
