Cepat, “orang Arki”, “sahabat raja” (1 Tawarikh 27:33). Ketika Daud melarikan diri dari Yerusalem karena pemberontakan Absalom, dan telah sampai di puncak Bukit Zaitun, ia bertemu Husai di sana, yang kemudian diutusnya kembali ke Yerusalem untuk menggagalkan pengaruh Ahitofel, yang telah memihak Absalom (2 Samuel 15:32, 37; 2 Samuel 16:16-18). Berkat nasihatnyalah Absalom menahan diri untuk tidak segera mengejar Daud. Melalui penundaan ini, rencana Absalom hancur karena memberi Daud waktu untuk mengumpulkan pasukannya.
