Yaezer
Dia (Allah) menolong, sebuah kota orang Amori di sebelah timur Sungai Yordan, dan diserahkan bersama tempat-tempat di sekitarnya di Gilead kepada suku Gad (Bilangan 32:1, 35; Yosua 13:25). Kota ini diberikan kepada orang Lewi keturunan Merari (Yosua 21:39). Pada zaman Daud, tempat ini dihuni oleh orang Hebron, yaitu keturunan Kehat (1 Tawarikh 26:31). Kota ini disebutkan dalam nubuat-nubuat hukuman atas Moab (Yesaya 16:8, 9; Yeremia 48:32). Lokasinya ditandai oleh reruntuhan modern bernama Sar atau Seir, sekitar 16 kilometer di sebelah barat Amman dan 19 kilometer dari Hesybon. “Kebun-kebun anggur yang dahulu menutupi lereng-lereng bukit telah lenyap; dan orang-orang Badui liar dari padang gurun timur membuat segala bentuk cocok tanam menjadi mustahil.”
