Adik Kaleb, dan ayah Otniel (Yosua 15:17), yang keluarganya terpandang di Israel hingga zaman Daud (1 Tawarikh 27:15). Beberapa orang berpendapat bahwa Otniel (Hakim-hakim 1:13), dan bukan Kenas, yang merupakan saudara Kaleb.
