Milo
Mungkin nama Kanaan untuk suatu benteng, yang terdiri dari tembok-tembok yang diisi dengan tanah dan batu-batu, yang melindungi Yerusalem di sebelah utara sebagai pertahanan terluarnya. Kata ini selalu diterjemahkan sebagai Akra, yaitu “benteng pertahanan”, dalam Septuaginta (LXX). Benteng ini sudah ada ketika Daud menaklukkan Yerusalem (2 Samuel 5:9). Dia memperluasnya ke kanan dan ke kiri, sehingga melengkapi pertahanan kota itu. Benteng ini dibangun kembali oleh Salomo (1 Raja-raja 9:15, 24; 1 Raja-raja 11:27) dan diperbaiki oleh Hizkia (2 Tawarikh 32:5).
