Sanbalat
Memegang suatu kedudukan berkuasa di Samaria ketika Nehemia pergi ke Yerusalem untuk membangun kembali tembok-temboknya yang runtuh. Dia sia-sia berusaha menghalangi pekerjaan ini (Nehemia 2:10, 19; Nehemia 4:1-12; 6). Putrinya menjadi istri dari salah seorang anak Yoyada, anak imam besar, yang sangat mendukakan Nehemia (Nehemia 13:28).
