Sefela adalah deretan bukit rendah antara dataran tinggi tengah Yehuda dan dataran pesisir, sebuah zona perbatasan yang sering diperebutkan dan menjadi arena pertempuran berulang kali antara Israel dan orang Filistin, termasuk pertempuran Daud melawan Goliat di Lembah Ela.
