人物
Habakkuk
Habakkuk was a prophet whose short book takes the form of a dialogue with God, questioning why God tolerates injustice in Judah and why he would use the violent Babylonians to punish it. The book ends with Habakkuk affirming trust in God despite hardship, and its line "the just shall live by his faith" (Habakkuk 2:4) is quoted three times in the New Testament. Little is known about his life; a later legend, found only in a non-biblical addition to the book of Daniel, has him miraculously delivering food to Daniel in the lions' den, but this is not part of the biblical text.
