Pashur
Pashur, chief officer of the temple, had the prophet Jeremiah beaten and put in stocks for prophesying Jerusalem's destruction. When he released him the next day, Jeremiah renamed him "Magor-missabib" ("terror on every side") and predicted he would die in exile in Babylon (Jeremiah 20:1-6).
