Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.

So they show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them

  12. Romans 2:20 τὴντῆςτῆςτῷ

an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth—

  13. you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?

  14. Romans 2:22 ὁὁτὰ

You who forbid adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

  15. Romans 2:23 τῆςτοῦτὸν

You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

  16. Romans 2:24 τὸτοῦτοῖς

As it is written: “God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”

  17. Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

  18. Romans 2:26 ἡτὰτοῦἡ

If a man who is not circumcised keeps the requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?

What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness?

  25. Romans 3:4 ὁτοῖςτῷ

Certainly not! Let God be true and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that You may be proved right when You speak and victorious when You judge.”

  26. Romans 3:5 ἡὁὁτὴν

But if our unrighteousness highlights the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust to inflict His wrath on us? I am speaking in human terms.

  27. Romans 3:6 ὁτὸν

Certainly not! In that case, how could God judge the world?

  28. Romans 3:7 ἡτοῦτῷτὴν

However, if my falsehood accentuates God’s truthfulness, to the increase of His glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?

  29. Romans 3:8 τὰτὰτὸ

Why not say, as some slanderously claim that we say, “Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is deserved!

He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus.

  44. Romans 3:27 ἡτῶν

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of works? No, but on that of faith.
