Line of Cain

This traces the descendants of Cain listed in Genesis 4, from Cain through Lamech and his children Jabal, Jubal, and Tubal-cain. Genesis pairs this line's advances in city-building, music, and metalworking with a strand of violence running through it, epitomized by Lamech's boast of unrestrained vengeance (Genesis 4:23-24).
