Abigail
Istri Nabal yang kasar, yang tinggal di daerah Karmel (1 Samuel 25:3). Dia menunjukkan kebijaksanaan yang besar dan penanganan yang cermat pada masa kritis dalam kehidupan suaminya. Dia adalah “seorang perempuan yang bijak dan cantik wajahnya.” Setelah kematian Nabal, dia menjadi istri Daud (1 Samuel 25:14-42), dan menjadi pendampingnya dalam segala perjalanan hidupnya ke depan (1 Samuel 27:3; 30:5; 2 Samuel 2:2). Dari dia, Daud memperoleh seorang anak bernama Kileab (2 Samuel 3:3), yang di tempat lain disebut Daniel (1 Tawarikh 3:1).
