Elifas
Elifas, orang Teman, adalah yang pertama dan paling terkemuka dari ketiga sahabat Ayub, yang datang untuk menghiburnya setelah kemalangannya dan kemudian berpendapat bahwa penderitaannya pastilah hukuman atas dosa tersembunyi (Ayub 2:11; Ayub 4; Ayub 15; Ayub 22). Pada akhir kitab itu, Allah menegur Elifas dan para sahabatnya karena tidak berbicara dengan benar tentang Dia, lalu meminta Ayub berdoa untuk pengampunan mereka (Ayub 42:7-9).
