Gog
Gog adalah seorang penguasa simbolis dari tanah Magog yang dinubuatkan oleh Yehezkiel akan memimpin koalisi bangsa-bangsa dalam serangan terakhir melawan Israel, tetapi akhirnya dihancurkan oleh Allah (Yehezkiel 38-39). Kitab Wahyu kemudian menggunakan ungkapan “Gog dan Magog” untuk merujuk pada bangsa-bangsa yang dikumpulkan oleh Iblis untuk pemberontakan terakhir di akhir masa seribu tahun (Wahyu 20:8). Nama ini tidak merujuk pada penguasa historis mana pun yang diketahui; dalam kedua kitab tersebut, nama ini berfungsi sebagai simbol penentangan puncak terhadap umat Allah.
