Person
Gog
Gog is a symbolic ruler from the land of Magog whom Ezekiel prophesies will lead a coalition of nations in a final assault against Israel, only to be destroyed by God (Ezekiel 38-39). Revelation later uses "Gog and Magog" for the nations Satan gathers for one last rebellion at the end of the thousand years (Revelation 20:8). The name matches no known historical ruler; in both books it functions as a symbol of ultimate opposition to God's people.
