Hesybon
Kecerdasan, sebuah kota yang diperintah oleh Sihon, raja orang Amori (Yosua 3:10; 13:17). Kota ini direbut oleh Musa (Bilangan 21:23-26), dan kemudian menjadi kota orang Lewi (Yosua 21:39) di wilayah suku Ruben (Bilangan 32:37). Setelah masa Pembuangan, kota ini dikuasai oleh orang Moab (Yesaya 15:4; Yeremia 48:2, 34, 45). Reruntuhan kota ini masih dapat dilihat sekitar 20 mil di sebelah timur Sungai Yordan dari ujung utara Laut Mati. Terdapat waduk-waduk di distrik ini, yang kemungkinan merupakan “kolam-kolam ikan” yang disebutkan dalam Kid. 7:4.
