Rama
Sebuah kota yang pertama kali disebutkan dalam Yosua 18:25, dekat Gibea orang Benyamin. Kota ini dibentengi oleh Baasa, raja Israel (1 Raja-raja 15:17-22; 2 Tawarikh 16:1-6). Asa, raja Yehuda, menyewa Benhadad raja Aram untuk mengusir Baasa dari kota ini (1 Raja-raja 15:18, 20). Yesaya (1 Raja-raja 10:29) menyebutkannya, demikian juga Yeremia, yang pernah menjadi tawanan di sana bersama tawanan-tawanan lain dari Yerusalem ketika kota itu direbut oleh Nebukadnezar (Yeremia 39:8-12; 40:1). Rahel, yang kuburnya berada dekat Betlehem, digambarkan menangis di Rama (Yeremia 31:15) meratapi anak-anaknya yang dibantai. Nubuat ini digambarkan dan digenapi dalam duka Rahel yang kembali bangkit saat pembantaian bayi-bayi di Betlehem (Matius 2:18). Tempat ini diidentifikasi dengan desa modern er-Ram, di antara Gibeon dan Beerot, sekitar 8 km tepat di sebelah utara Yerusalem.
