Ra-ma
Một thành phố được nhắc đến lần đầu trong Giô-suê 18:25, gần Ghi-bê-a của Bên-gia-min. Thành này được Ba-a-sa, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, củng cố phòng thủ (1 Các Vua 15:17-22; 2 Sử-ký 16:1-6). A-sa, vua Giu-đa, đã nhờ Bết-ha-đát, vua Sy-ri, đánh đuổi Ba-a-sa khỏi thành này (1 Các Vua 15:18, 20). Ê-sai (1 Các Vua 10:29) có nhắc đến thành này, và Giê-rê-mi cũng vậy, người từng là tù nhân tại đó giữa những phu tù khác của Giê-ru-sa-lem khi thành bị Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa chiếm đóng (Giê-rê-mi 39:8-12; 40:1). Ra-chên, người có mộ nằm gần Bết-lê-hem, được miêu tả là đang khóc than tại Ra-ma (Giê-rê-mi 31:15) vì con cái nàng bị giết. Lời tiên tri này được minh họa và ứng nghiệm trong việc nỗi đau buồn của Ra-chên lại dấy lên khi các con trẻ tại Bết-lê-hem bị tàn sát (Ma-thi-ơ 2:18). Nơi này được xác định là làng er-Ram ngày nay, nằm giữa Ga-ba-ôn và Bê-ê-rốt, cách Giê-ru-sa-lem khoảng 5 dặm về hướng bắc.
