Ramot-Gilead
Ketinggian Gilead, sebuah kota perlindungan di sebelah timur Sungai Yordan; disebut “Ramot di Gilead” (Ulangan 4:43; Yosua 20:8; 21:38). Di sini Ahab, yang bergabung bersama Yosafat dalam upaya merebut kota itu dari tangan raja Aram, terluka parah hingga tewas (1 Raja-raja 22:1-36). Upaya serupa kemudian dilakukan oleh Ahazia dan Yoram, saat Yoram terluka (2 Raja-raja 8:28). Di kota ini Yehu, anak Yosafat, diurapi oleh salah seorang dari rombongan para nabi (2 Raja-raja 9:1, 4).
Kemungkinan besar kota ini diidentifikasi dengan Reimun, di lereng utara Sungai Yabok, sekitar 5 mil di sebelah barat Jerash atau Gerasa, salah satu kota Dekapolis. Ada juga yang mengidentifikasikannya dengan Gerosh, sekitar 25 mil di sebelah timur laut es-Salt, yang juga sering diidentifikasi oleh banyak orang.
