Tofet
Tofet adalah sebuah lokasi di Lembah Hinom, tepat di luar Yerusalem, tempat pengorbanan anak dipraktikkan pada masa pemerintahan raja-raja Yehuda yang menyembah berhala. Yeremia mengecam praktik ini dan bernubuat bahwa lembah tersebut akan dikenal sebagai tempat pembantaian dan penguburan (Yeremia 7:31-32, Yeremia 19:6). Reputasinya yang lekat dengan api dan kengerian kemudian memengaruhi penggunaan istilah terkait Gehena di Perjanjian Baru untuk merujuk pada neraka.
