Putra Yoram, atau Yehoram, dan raja keenam Yehuda. Disebut Yoahas (2 Tawarikh 21:17; 25:23), dan Azarya (2 Tawarikh 22:6). Dibimbing oleh ibunya yang menyembah berhala, Atalya, masa pemerintahannya membawa bencana (2 Raja-raja 8:24-29; 9:29). Dia bergabung dengan pamannya, Yehoram, raja Israel, dalam sebuah ekspedisi melawan Hazael, raja Damaskus; tetapi dia terluka di pendakian Gur ketika berusaha melarikan diri, dan hanya memiliki kekuatan untuk mencapai Megido, tempat dia meninggal (2 Raja-raja 9:22-28). Dia hanya memerintah selama satu tahun.
