Anak Manasye, dan raja Yehuda yang keempat belas. Dia memulihkan penyembahan berhala dan mendirikan patung-patung berhala yang telah dirobohkan oleh ayahnya. Zefanya (1:4; 3:4, 11) merujuk pada kebobrokan moral yang merajalela selama pemerintahan raja ini.

Dia dibunuh (2 Raja-raja 21:18-26; 2 Tawarikh 33:20-25) oleh para pegawainya sendiri yang bersepakat melawannya.
