Malaikat berbicara kepada Yusuf dalam mimpi
Seorang malaikat menampakkan diri kepada Yusuf dalam mimpi, memberi tahunya agar tidak takut mengambil Maria sebagai istrinya, karena anak yang dikandungnya berasal dari Roh Kudus, dan bahwa anak laki-laki itu harus dinamai Yesus, “karena Dialah yang akan menyelamatkan umat-Nya dari dosa-dosa mereka” (Matius 1:18-25).
