Yusuf
Ayah angkat dari Tuhan kita (Matius 1:16; Lukas 3:23). Dia tinggal di Nazaret di Galilea (Lukas 2:4). Dia disebut seorang “orang yang benar”. Pekerjaannya adalah tukang kayu (Matius 13:55). Dia terakhir kali disebutkan sehubungan dengan perjalanan ke Yerusalem, ketika Yesus berusia dua belas tahun. Kemungkinan dia meninggal sebelum Yesus memulai pelayanan publik-Nya. Hal ini disimpulkan dari kenyataan bahwa hanya Maria yang hadir pada pesta pernikahan di Kana di Galilea. Namanya tidak muncul sehubungan dengan peristiwa penyaliban bersama Maria (lihat), Yohanes 19:25.
