Yakobus
Anak Alfeus, atau Klopas, “saudara” atau kerabat dekat atau sepupu Tuhan kita (Galatia 1:18, 19), disebut Yakobus “Muda” atau “Kecil”, mungkin karena perawakannya yang pendek. Dia disebutkan bersama rasul-rasul lainnya (Matius 10:3; Markus 3:18; Lukas 6:15). Dia mendapat pertemuan khusus dengan Tuhan kita setelah kebangkitan-Nya (1 Korintus 15:7), dan disebutkan sebagai salah satu rasul bagi orang-orang bersunat (Kisah Para Rasul 1:13). Dia tampaknya memegang posisi sebagai pemimpin Gereja di Yerusalem, tempat dia memimpin sidang yang diadakan untuk mempertimbangkan masalah orang-orang bukan Yahudi (Kisah Para Rasul 12:17; 15:13-29: Kisah Para Rasul 21:18-24). Yakobus ini adalah penulis surat yang menyandang namanya.
