Gia-cơ
Con trai của A-phê, hay Cơ-lê-ô-ba, là “anh em” hay bà con gần của Chúa chúng ta (Ga-la-ti 1:18, 19), được gọi là Gia-cơ “nhỏ”, có lẽ vì ông có vóc dáng thấp bé. Ông được nhắc đến cùng với các sứ đồ khác (Ma-thi-ơ 10:3; Mác 3:18; Lu-ca 6:15). Ông đã có một cuộc gặp riêng với Chúa chúng ta sau khi Ngài sống lại (1 Cô-rinh-tô 15:7), và được kể là một trong các sứ đồ của người chịu phép cắt bì (Công-vụ các Sứ-đồ 1:13). Ông dường như giữ vị trí người lãnh đạo Hội Thánh tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, nơi ông chủ tọa hội nghị bàn về trường hợp của người Dân Ngoại (Công-vụ các Sứ-đồ 12:17; 15:13-29: Công-vụ các Sứ-đồ 21:18-24). Gia-cơ này chính là tác giả của bức thư mang tên ông.
