Salah satu anak Imam Besar Eli (1 Samuel 1:3; 2:12). Dia dan saudaranya, Hofni, bersalah atas kejahatan-kejahatan besar, yang menyebabkan kebinasaan menimpa keluarga Eli (31). Dia mati dalam pertempuran melawan orang Filistin (1 Samuel 4:4, 11); dan istrinya, saat mendengar kabar kematiannya, melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki yang dinamainya “Ikabod”, lalu meninggal (19-22).
