Concordance 40 verses

1. Genesis 9:22 עֶרְוַ֣ת

   And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brothers outside.

2. Genesis 9:23 עֶרְוַ֣תוְעֶרְוַ֥ת

   Then Shem and Japheth took a garment and placed it across their shoulders, and walking backward, they covered their father’s nakedness. Their faces were turned away so that they did not see their father’s nakedness.

3. Genesis 42:9 עֶרְוַ֥ת

   Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said, “You are spies! You have come to see if our land is vulnerable.”

4. Genesis 42:12 עֶרְוַ֥ת

   “No,” he told them. “You have come to see if our land is vulnerable.”

   You must not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; it would dishonor your father.

10. Leviticus 18:9 עֶרְוַ֨תעֶרְוָתָֽן׃ס

    You must not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.

11. Leviticus 18:10 עֶרְוַ֤תעֶרְוָתָ֑ןעֶרְוָתְךָ֖

    You must not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter, for that would shame your family.

12. Leviticus 18:11 עֶרְוַ֨תעֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃ס

    You must not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.

13. Leviticus 18:12 עֶרְוַ֥ת

    You must not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative.

14. Leviticus 18:13 עֶרְוַ֥ת

    You must not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s close relative.

15. Leviticus 18:14 עֶרְוַ֥ת

    You must not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations with her; she is your aunt.

16. Leviticus 18:15 עֶרְוַ֥תעֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃ס

    You must not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; you are not to have sexual relations with her.

17. Leviticus 18:16 עֶרְוַ֥תעֶרְוַ֥ת

    You must not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife; that would shame your brother.

18. Leviticus 18:17 עֶרְוַ֥תעֶרְוָתָ֔הּ

    You must not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. You are not to marry her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter and have sexual relations with her. They are close relatives; it is depraved.

19. Leviticus 18:18 עֶרְוָתָ֛הּ

    You must not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is still alive.

20. Leviticus 18:19 עֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃

    You must not approach a woman to have sexual relations with her during her menstrual period.

21. Leviticus 20:11 עֶרְוַ֥ת

    If a man lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness. Both must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

22. Leviticus 20:17 עֶרְוָתָ֜הּעֶרְוָתוֹ֙עֶרְוַ֧ת

    If a man marries his sister, whether the daughter of his father or of his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They must be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered the nakedness of his sister; he shall bear his iniquity.

23. Leviticus 20:18 עֶרְוָתָהּ֙

    If a man lies with a menstruating woman and has sexual relations with her, he has exposed the source of her flow, and she has uncovered the source of her blood. Both of them must be cut off from among their people.

24. Leviticus 20:19 וְעֶרְוַ֨ת

    You must not have sexual relations with the sister of your mother or your father, for it is exposing one’s own kin; both shall bear their iniquity.

25. Leviticus 20:20 עֶרְוַ֥ת

    If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered the nakedness of his uncle. They will bear their sin; they shall die childless.

26. Leviticus 20:21 עֶרְוַ֥ת

    If a man marries his brother’s wife, it is an act of impurity. He has uncovered the nakedness of his brother; they shall be childless.

27. Deuteronomy 23:14 עֶרְוַ֣ת

    For the LORD your God walks throughout your camp to protect you and deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, lest He see anything unclean among you and turn away from you.

28. Deuteronomy 24:1 עֶרְוַ֣ת

    If a man marries a woman, but she becomes displeasing to him because he finds some indecency in her, he may write her a certificate of divorce, hand it to her, and send her away from his house.

29. 1 Samuel 20:30 עֶרְוַ֥ת

    Then Saul’s anger burned against Jonathan, and he said to him, “You son of a perverse and rebellious woman! Do I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame and to the disgrace of the mother who bore you?

    Therefore I will take back My grain in its time and My new wine in its season; I will take away My wool and linen, which were given to cover her nakedness.
