Vị vua được đề cập trong Ê-xơ-ra 7:1; vào năm thứ bảy của triều đại ông (458 TCN), E-xơ-ra đã dẫn đoàn người Do Thái thứ hai hồi hương về Giê-ru-sa-lem; có lẽ là Longimanus, người trị vì trong 40 năm (464-425 TCN); cháu nội của Đa-ri-út, mười bốn năm sau đó đã cho phép Nê-hê-mi trở về tái thiết Giê-ru-sa-lem.
