Con trai và người kế vị Giê-hu làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên (2 Các Vua 10:35). Ông trị vì mười bảy năm và đi theo những con đường gian ác của nhà Giê-rô-bô-am. Dân Sy-ri dưới thời Ha-xa-ên và Bên-ha-đát đã lấn lướt ông, nhưng cuối cùng bị con trai ông là Giô-ách đuổi ra khỏi xứ (2 Các Vua 13:1-9, 25).
