Phi-nê-a
Con trai của Ê-lê-a-sa, thầy tế lễ thượng phẩm (Xuất Ê-díp-tô Ký 6:25). Khi còn trẻ, ông đã thể hiện lòng sốt sắng tại Si-tim nhằm chống lại sự vô luân mà người Mô-áp đã cám dỗ dân chúng sa vào (Dân-số Ký 25:1-9), và nhờ đó đã “cầm tai vạ lại” bùng phát giữa dân chúng khiến hai mươi bốn ngàn người bị thiệt mạng. Nhờ sự trung thành trong dịp đó, ông được Đức Chúa Trời khen ngợi (10-13). Về sau, ông chỉ huy đạo quân tiến đánh dân Ma-đi-an (Dân-số Ký 31:6-8). Khi các đại diện của dân chúng được cử đi can gián hai chi phái rưỡi vừa qua sông Giô-đanh đã lập một bàn thờ rồi rời đi mà không giải thích, Phi-nê-a là người dẫn đầu và nói với họ những lời được chép trong Giô-suê 22:16-20. Lời giải thích của họ được chép tiếp sau đó. Bàn thờ lớn này được dựng nên nhằm làm chứng cớ cho muôn đời rằng họ vẫn thuộc về Y-sơ-ra-ên. Phi-nê-a sau đó là cố vấn trưởng trong cuộc chiến với người Bê-nja-min. Ông được tưởng niệm trong Thi-thiên 106:30, 31.
