Tiếng Hê-bơ-rơ là ‘A-na-kim (Phục-truyền Luật-lệ Ký 2:10, 11, 21; Giô-suê 11:21, 22; Giô-suê 14:12, 15; được gọi là “con cháu A-nác,” Dân-số Ký 13:33; “con cái A-nác,” Dân-số Ký 13:22; Giô-suê 15:14), một chủng tộc du mục khổng lồ hậu duệ của A-ra-ba (Giô-suê 14:15), cha của A-nác, cư ngụ ở miền nam Pa-lét-tin gần Hếp-rôn (Sáng-thế Ký 23:2; Giô-suê 15:13). Họ là một bộ tộc Cút cùng chủng tộc với dân Phi-li-tin và các vua chăn chiên Ai Cập. Đa-vít đã nhiều lần chạm trán với họ (2 Sa-mu-ên 21:15-22). Gô-li-át xuất thân từ chủng tộc này (1 Sa-mu-ên 17:4).
