Adoni-zedek, the Amorite king of Jerusalem, organized a coalition of five kings to attack Gibeon after it made peace with Israel. Joshua marched to Gibeon's defense in the battle where, according to Joshua 10:13, the sun stood still, and all five kings were captured and executed (Joshua 10:1-27).
