Ahilud was the father of two officials in David and Solomon's administrations: Jehoshaphat, who served as royal recorder under both kings (2 Samuel 8:16; 1 Kings 4:3), and Baana, one of twelve officers responsible for supplying provisions to Solomon's court (1 Kings 4:12).
