Hananiah
This Hananiah was a prophet in Jerusalem who publicly contradicted Jeremiah, breaking a wooden yoke Jeremiah wore as a sign and predicting that the Babylonian exile would end within two years (Jeremiah 28:1-11). Jeremiah returned with a further message that Hananiah's false prophecy would cost him his life within the year, and he died two months later (Jeremiah 28:12-17).
