Giô-sép
Cha nuôi của Chúa chúng ta (Ma-thi-ơ 1:16; Lu-ca 3:23). Ông sống tại Na-xa-rét xứ Ga-li-lê (Lu-ca 2:4). Ông được gọi là “người có nghĩa”. Nghề nghiệp của ông là thợ mộc (Ma-thi-ơ 13:55). Ông được nhắc đến lần cuối cùng gắn liền với chuyến đi lên Giê-ru-sa-lem khi Đức Chúa Jêsus được mười hai tuổi. Rất có thể ông đã qua đời trước khi Đức Chúa Jêsus bước vào chức vụ công khai. Điều này được suy ra từ việc chỉ có Ma-ri hiện diện tại tiệc cưới ở Ca-na xứ Ga-li-lê. Tên của ông không xuất hiện cùng với Ma-ri (xem mục này) trong các cảnh tượng về sự đóng đinh trên thập tự giá, Giăng 19:25.
