Concordance 2,482 verses

  1. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  2. The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment.

  3. “For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

  4. For when one of you says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere men?

  5. What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, as the Lord has assigned to each his role.

  6. He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.

  7. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds.

  8. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,

  9. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames.

  10. and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

  11. I care very little, however, if I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.

  12. My conscience is clear, but that does not vindicate me. It is the Lord who judges me.

  13. Brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what is written. Then you will not take pride in one man over another.

  14. For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

  15. 1 Corinthians 4:10 δὲδὲδὲ

We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honored, but we are dishonored.

  16. Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.

  17. But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only what these arrogant people are saying, but what power they have.

  18. Although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present.

  19. But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.

  20. God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”

  21. “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food,” but God will destroy them both. The body is not intended for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

  22. By His power God raised the Lord from the dead, and He will raise us also.

  23. But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit.

  24. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

  25. Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good to abstain from sexual relations.

  26. But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.

  27. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.

  28. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife.

  29. I say this as a concession, not as a command.

  30. I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.

  31. Now to the unmarried and widows I say this: It is good for them to remain unmarried, as I am.

  32. But if they cannot control themselves, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

  33. To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband.

  34. But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.

  35. To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If a brother has an unbelieving wife and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her.

  36. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his believing wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.

  37. But if the unbeliever leaves, let him go. The believing brother or sister is not bound in such cases. God has called you to live in peace.

  38. Now about virgins, I have no command from the Lord, but I give a judgment as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy.

  39. 1 Corinthians 7:28 δὲδὲδὲ

  40. What I am saying, brothers, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they had none;

  41. I want you to be free from concern. The unmarried man is concerned about the work of the Lord, how he can please the Lord.

  42. But the married man is concerned about the affairs of this world, how he can please his wife,

  43. and his interests are divided. The unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the work of the Lord, how she can be holy in both body and spirit. But the married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world, how she can please her husband.

  44. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but in order to promote proper decorum and undivided devotion to the Lord.

  45. However, if someone thinks he is acting inappropriately toward his betrothed, and if she is beyond her youth and they ought to marry, let him do as he wishes; he is not sinning; they should get married.

  48. In my judgment, however, she is happier if she remains as she is. And I think that I too have the Spirit of God.

  49. Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

  50. But the one who loves God is known by God.
