Nahum
Nahum was a prophet who announced the coming destruction of Nineveh, the capital of the Assyrian Empire (Nahum 1:1). Little is known about his life, and even the location of Elkosh, his hometown, is uncertain. His prophecy presents Nineveh's downfall as God's judgment against Assyria's violence and oppression.
