Event
Northern Kingdom (Israel)
This refers to the northern of the two kingdoms formed when Israel split after Solomon's death, made up of ten tribes and ruled from Samaria. It endured a series of dynasties, none descended from David, until falling to Assyria in 722 BC, distinct from the southern kingdom of Judah, which kept Jerusalem and David's line.
