Person
Pharaoh
An unnamed king of Egypt during Solomon's reign. He gave his daughter to Solomon in marriage, and Solomon built her a house in Jerusalem and received the city of Gezer as her dowry (1 Kings 3:1; 9:16; 2 Chronicles 8:11). He also sheltered Hadad, a fugitive prince of Edom, giving him land, provisions, and his sister-in-law in marriage (1 Kings 11:18-22). Egyptian pharaohs went unnamed in the biblical text, so this ruler's identity is uncertain.
