Ghê-xe
Vực dốc, một thành hoàng gia Ca-na-an cổ xưa (Giô-suê 10:33; 12:12). Thành cùng các vùng ngoại ô được chia cho người Lê-vi thuộc dòng Kê-hát (Giô-suê 21:21; 1 Sử-ký 6:67). Thành nằm giữa Bết-Hô-rôn dưới và biển (Giô-suê 16:3; 1 Các Vua 9:17). Đây là điểm cuối cùng mà Đa-vít đuổi theo người Phi-li-tin (2 Sa-mu-ên 5:25; 1 Sử-ký 14:16) sau trận chiến Ba-anh-Phê-ra-xim. Dân Ca-na-an vẫn chiếm giữ thành cho đến thời Sa-lô-môn, khi vua Ê-díp-tô chiếm lấy và trao cho Sa-lô-môn như một phần của hồi môn cho công chúa Ê-díp-tô mà ông cưới (1 Các Vua 9:15-17). Thành được xác định là Tell el-Jezer, cách Bết-Hô-rôn khoảng 10 dặm về phía tây nam. Thành cũng được nhắc đến trong các bia ký Amarna.
