Ga-la-át
Gò đá làm chứng (Sáng-thế Ký 31:21), một vùng đồi núi ở phía đông sông Giô-đanh. Do địa hình đồi núi nên vùng này còn được gọi là “núi Ga-la-át” (Sáng-thế Ký 31:25). Vùng đất này cũng được gọi là “xứ Ga-la-át” (Dân-số Ký 32:1), và đôi khi chỉ đơn giản là “Ga-la-át” (Thi-thiên 60:7; Sáng-thế Ký 37:25). Nơi đây bao gồm phần sản nghiệp của chi phái Gát, chi phái Ru-bên và phần phía nam của chi phái Ma-na-se (Phục-truyền Luật-lệ Ký 3:13; Dân-số Ký 32:40). Phía bắc giáp Ba-san, phía nam giáp Mô-áp và Am-môn (Sáng-thế Ký 31:21; Phục-truyền Luật-lệ Ký 3:12-17). “Một nửa xứ Ga-la-át” thuộc quyền Si-hôn, và nửa còn lại, ngăn cách bởi sông Gia-bốc, thuộc quyền Óc, vua Ba-san. Hẻm núi sâu của sông Hieromax (ngày nay là Sheriat el-Mandhur) ngăn cách Ba-san với Ga-la-át; Ga-la-át dài khoảng 60 dặm và rộng 20 dặm, trải dài từ gần mũi phía nam của Hồ Ghên-nê-xa-rết đến mũi phía bắc của Biển Chết. A-ba-rim, Bích-ga, Nê-bô và Phê-ô là các ngọn núi thuộc vùng này được nhắc đến trong Kinh Thánh.
