Mích-ma
Nghĩa là nơi ẩn giấu; một thị trấn thuộc Bên-gia-min (Ê-xơ-ra 2:27), ở phía đông Bê-tên và phía nam Mi-gơ-rôn, trên con đường dẫn đến Giê-ru-sa-lem (Ê-sai 10:28). Thị trấn này nằm trên tuyến hành quân của đạo quân xâm lược từ phương bắc, ở phía bắc thung lũng Wady es-Suweinit dốc đứng và hiểm trở (“thung lũng cây gai nhỏ” hoặc “cây keo”), và ngày nay mang tên Mukhmas. Thung lũng này được gọi là “lối đi Mích-ma” (1 Sa-mu-ên 13:23). Ngay đối diện Mukhmas, ở phía bên kia khe núi, là địa điểm ngày nay của Ghê-ba, và phía sau đó là Ra-ma cùng Ghi-bê-a.
Đây là nơi diễn ra trận chiến lớn giữa quân đội của Sau-lơ và dân Phi-li-tin; quân Phi-li-tin bị đánh tan tác và bị truy đuổi khoảng 16 dặm về hướng Phi-li-tin cho đến tận thung lũng A-gia-lôn. “Sự tự do của Bên-gia-min giành được tại Mích-ma, qua nhiều năm chiến đấu, đã dẫn đến sự tự do cho mọi chi phái anh em”. Quyền lực của Bên-gia-min và vua của họ từ đó không ngừng gia tăng. Một tinh thần mới và niềm hy vọng mới bấy giờ dấy lên trong Y-sơ-ra-ên.
