Mo-lóc
Vua, danh của thần quốc gia của dân Am-môn, là thần mà trẻ con bị dâng làm của tế lễ thiêu. Thần này là ngọn lửa thiêu nuốt, hủy diệt và đồng thời cũng là ngọn lửa thanh tẩy. Trong A-mốt 5:26, “Mô-lóc của các ngươi” trong Bản Authorized Version là “vua của các ngươi” trong Bản Revised Version (so sánh Công-vụ các Sứ-đồ 7:43). Sa-lô-môn (1 Các Vua 11:7) đã lập một nơi cao cho hình tượng này trên núi Ô-li-ve, và từ thời đó cho đến đời Giô-si-a, sự thờ phượng thần này vẫn tiếp diễn (2 Các Vua 23:10, 13). Vào đời Giê-hô-a-cha, sự thờ hình tượng này được khôi phục một phần, nhưng sau thời kỳ lưu đày thì hoàn toàn biến mất. Thần này còn được gọi là Mô-léc (Lê-vi Ký 18:21; 20:2-5, v.v.), Mi-côm (1 Các Vua 11:5, 33, v.v.), và Man-cam (Sô-phô-ni 1:5). Thần này trở thành Kê-mốt nơi dân Mô-áp.
