Ríp-la
Màu mỡ, một thị trấn cổ ở biên giới phía bắc của Ca-na-an, cách Ba-anh-béc 56 km về phía đông bắc và cách hồ Homs 16-19 km về phía nam, trên bờ phía đông của sông Ô-rôn-tết, trong một đồng bằng rộng lớn và màu mỡ. Tại đây Nê-bu-cát-nê-xa đã đặt đại bản doanh trong chiến dịch chống lại Giê-ru-sa-lem, và cũng tại đây Nê-cô đã đóng quân sau khi đánh tan quân đội Giô-si-a tại Mê-ghi-đô (2 Các Vua 23:29-35; 25:6, 20, 21; Giê-rê-mi 39:5; 52:10). Nơi này nằm trên con đường lữ hành lớn nối từ Ca-na-an đến Cạt-kê-mít bên sông Ơ-phơ-rát. Thành được miêu tả (Dân-số Ký 34:11) là “về hướng đông của A-in”. Một địa điểm ngày nay vẫn được gọi là el Ain, nghĩa là “nguồn nước”, nằm ở một vị trí cách đó khoảng 16 km.
