Israel's Wilderness Journey

Numbers 33 names 42 stopping places on Israel's 40-year march from Egypt to the plains of Moab. This map colors them by three phases: the exodus to Sinai, the undated wilderness years, and the final year's approach to the Jordan. Many of the wilderness-years stations are unidentified. Where the exact site is unknown, the map falls back to the same approximate coordinates for several stations in a row, so that stretch reads as a cluster rather than a precise path.
