Elnathan
Elnathan was a royal official who joined two colleagues in pleading with King Jehoiakim not to burn the scroll containing Jeremiah's prophecies, though the king refused to listen (Jeremiah 36:25). He had earlier been sent to Egypt to bring back the prophet Uriah, whom Jehoiakim then had executed (Jeremiah 26:22-23).
